I have always been one to value a person for who they are not what they look like…but I can never get over how some of the most plain, not even remotely attractive person can end up with some of the most stunning people.
I honestly think about this kind of thing, especially when I see mediocre white people with super attractive black people.
It’s like, you get a base number of attractiveness, and then your skin color/eye color/in some cases hair color or texture immediately lifts you or drops you down the scale.
If you’re a 5 as a base, and you’re white, you’re instantly a 7. If you’re white and have blue eyes, instant 8 or 9, depending on HOW blue your eyes are.
If you’re a 9, and you’re black, instantly a 7. Kinky hair? 5-6. “Exotic” look, back up to a 7.
Mmmmmmm good old racism. Yes of course the white guy is mediocre because he’s white.
From where I stand they look like a rather attractive couple and I have no clue who they are. If they’re into each other that’s their business not yours.

As for the guy, I think he’s relatively good-looking. I’m straight and sometimes get confused on what people who prefer men judge men on but he’s got symmetrical features and nothing unattractive about him other than a bad hairline which may or may not be the fault of his hat.
I don’t know.
I guess the point I’m making is that I agree that society generally undervalues the beauty of black women, but I don’t necessarily agree that this is such a case. He seems like a pretty good-looking guy to me.
Also, all of this is kind of premised on the idea that relationships have to, or even should, match up on some kind of attractiveness scale. She is probably a prettier female than he is a handsome male, but what’s wrong with that? This kind of thing happens all the time amongst white/white couples, black/black couples, and everything in between on the color spectrum. I don’t necessarily agree that this specific relationship is an example of society’s inherent racism.
